I'm not sure that kittens ever do outgrow their curiosity, unfortunately. At least, my old timers still stick their noses in everything. I love your ornaments! I hope you had a lovely holiday! :D
Thanks J. I was afraid to put up a tree because while the adult cat might behave, I didn't trust the kitten. I'm glad E talked me into getting a pre-lit two footer so Christmas seemed less dreary. Have your kitties ever broken any ornaments through the years?
Actually, I can't remember them breaking any. We have a lot of soft stuffed ornaments that my husband's aunt made and I've always made a point of putting them all around the bottom of the tree. When they were younger, the cats used to "hunt them", but they never did any lasting damage. I think I've been lucky in that neither of my cats ever tried to climb the Christmas tree, though Shadow does love sitting under it and gazing up into it. I think he likes the smell. :D
Merry Christmas to you, too! Love those ornaments. :)
And what is this I hear - you have a kitten?!? And no, I don't think they ever outgrow their curiosity. Although now that I have a new(ish) kitten my older cat seems to have taken a role of a big sister who looks down her nose at the smaller one. ;)
Hey M, it's good to be able to get on. I tried the other day but there was some sort of emergency maintenance going on? I hope you and Boy Scout had a lovely Christmas. :)
Aw, maybe the kitten will get better. I just knew Shadow was going to go crazy and knock our tree over or something, but after her batting at a few ornaments, we put them up higher and she just used the tree as another part of her sneak attack missions, lol...I had to tape up a few tears in some gifts, but she was much better than i thought she would be! Little terror still thinks legs are her enemy, but I guess I can't complain about her too much... :P
You are far braver than I, T. lol I didn't want to risk the cats breaking any ornaments... kitten is a climber so putting them higher would only inspire him to greater heights. I can only imagine how much fun Shadow had hiding in your tree and jumping out at you guys! :D
