The slowpoke finally finished the book

I finished HBP two nights ago. I am going to spend the weekend going back on my flist and reading everyone's thoughts.

Brief thoughts regarding HBP )

Draco heard Harry make a noise and saw a flash of his shoe. That's what made him suspicious and try to see if someone was there. He didn't need to know about the cloak ahead of time, but once he'd pulled it off of Harry, he'd certainly know what it was and what it did.

That could be it, though I suppose I expected Draco to show some surprise at the cloak, seeing as what a rare item it was. At least I *think* that was what Ron said in book 1 when he saw it.

By the way, I've been doing some backlog catching up, and I just wanted to say I love the SS/MM story you wrote. It was so sad, their goodbye so final. Are you planning on archiving it?

I think Draco was too busy being delighted that he had Potter at his mercy to spare as much interest in the cloak as he otherwise might have. Under other circumstances, I'd have expected him to pocket it.

Thanks. :) I already have archived it, I titled it Grasping at Shadows , and I put it up on fanfiction and DQ. It's had quite a few hits on ff...none on DQ. LOL

Yep, what shadowycat said. But Snape knows about the invisibility cloak, too, remember? In POA, Harry left it at the base of the Whomping Willow and Snape found it. He put it on and used it to sneak up on all of them in the Shrieking Shack.

*slaps forehead* I can't believe that important detail slipped my mind! I think I was remembering the butchered PoA movie more than I was the book, lol.

Heh. So was JKR, at least in my edition of HBP. It states that Hermione "punched" Draco rather than slapping him as she did in book version of PoA. ;)

It's good to know the author got mixed up too. LOL! I don't feel so foolish now. :D Was the punching/slapping incident mentioned in HBP?? I must've been half asleep when I read it.... I did most of my HBP reading in the wee hours of the morning. Methinks a reread is in order. *grin*

I am done!! YES!!! Finished it this afternoon.. just the funeral part. I read till 3.30 am last night.. and boy, was I glad nobody was up coz I wet the pillow crying my eyes out!

I love HPB. I wasn't disappointed, infact, I'm tearing my hair out because we still have to wait for book 7, dammit!!! The one thing/person I dislike in this book is Ron. Got on my very last nerves and I was hoping he'd be the one who died! I soooo need to know who R.A.B is and what made Dumbledore (*waaaaaaaaah*) held on to his belief of Snape.

Will JKR hurry up already!! I am guessing that the release of book 7 will lead to some sort of pandemonium.

I'm only on chapter 10.

I went through my rereads of Gof and OOTP quick enough, but I'm taking my time with HBP. I'm sure we're in for a long wait with book 7.

Ooh, you still have lots of chapters to savour, you lucky girl. :) You sure reread GoF and OOTP quick lol. I don't know how I'm going to survive the looong 2 years for book 7. Thank goodness for fanfic! *grin*

I had three full days off last week, all I did was read. That was fun!
Unfortunately, I have about 4 days off in the next four weeks, which means reading is pretty much limited. I haven't read any further than chapter 10.

You need to email/text me your new addy. I have something for you.
