Washington passed a pro gay marriage referendum. I am proud of my state today. :)

Oh yeah, they also passed a pot legalization thing. I don't smoke pot (smoke gives me a headache) but it's fairly harmless from what I've seen, so yay for that too.

The country as a whole did well, I think. Maybe we're finally growing up. Proud of your state, even prouder to have been born in Maine and live in Maryland (Maryland not only for gay marriage, but also for the state-level DREAM act addition). Proud of Minnesota too, since when I went to bed it didn't look good for them

And they got rid of Todd Akin in Iowa. I would have been kind of horrified if they hadn't...
