I'm hoping to get through The Margarets, and possibly The Quiet War, before the Clarke Award ceremony. I'm seriously tempted not to bother with the Martin Martin thing, given that I still regret the waste of the time I spent reading The Red Men.

I only do it because swisstone does. But I do like knowing things about the books everyone's talking about. It makes me feel almost as if I fit in :)

I'm such a bad person -- it only just sank in that I never thanked you for having dinner with me (and my merry band) and for your help when I was dithering. I'm so sorry, there's no excuse for the tardiness. It really was fantastic seeing you again, and you're lovelier than ever and still so much fun to be with!
