Aoi is a very intelligent character. Do you really think he expected them to take his advice? He knew they wouldn't.
Of course he has a goal in mind. Sometimes in chess you have to let a piece get taken in order to gain check.

Aoi can't let Reita die. It wouldn't benefit him in any way.

A happy chapter is seriously needed. Maybe chapter 14? I think some people are gonna throw things at me for chapter 13.

I did like this chapter, in a weird way. Uruha worries me.. And Aoi doesn't scare me anymore. ^^; Now it's Uru I'm afraid of. >.>
