The Amazing Meeting was... well, Amazing!  It's by far the most fun I've ever had at a convention and it was hard to leave.  Everyone was so friendly and I made dozens of new friends, and met several people that I had known on the internet but hadn't met in person, and met some people that I never ever thought I would actually even SEE, much less ( Read more... )

I love living in a neighborhood that gets together for events like this, it's really cool to see that there's still a sense of community even in big cities like Dallas.The neighborhood has a 4th of July parade where each street decorates a float.  We, the proud members of Royal Club, did the Grinch that Stole Christmas (still not sure why, but it ( Read more... )

I took these pictures during the rain, afraid of flood damage and in sheer awe of how hard it was coming down.  Flash floods in Texas work this way, it'll monsoon for a few hours, like the sky just opens up and dumps everything it has.  Then 15 minutes later the sun comes out and its like nothing happened.

Cutting and tracing the pattern can be the first major tedious task on a very large stained glass project.  It normally takes me a few days, but I sat down today with the mission to at least get the pattern onto the glass and get the glass into more manageable pieces.  I did succeed in getting that done.
