Oh, man, these two. I need them on my TV screen again, they were fantastic together.

And this fic was just perfect in describing them. The running theme of what we saw in the show's flashback episode. That he did in fact catch her, but let her go makes so much sense to me (because 500 years is a long damn time and we know Elijah isn't stupid).

I loved the running & catching theme and have always figured Elijah was WAY too smart not to be able to find her for 500 years. He wasn't even surprised she was alive when Rose told him.
