WANTED:
Strong, intelligent, creative woman seeking non-WOD/non-magic-centric game for fun, amazing role-play, and long-lasting friendships. I come with at least a decade of experience in various games. I am simply seeking something new to stir my muse out of its hybernation. Familiar with mIRC, Blog-style, email and other on-line styles of play.

Will do! I miss RPing with you and the rest of the group. We should get together sometime, have dinner and catch up on things.

Yeah, the groups I'm in, (other than a Twilight one) are mostly dead. Weren't we playing Alex Eames/Mac Taylor?

What happened there?

Real life kicked me in the teeth something fierce. But I will shoot you an email and we can pick back up again. I dropped out of most of the groups (save for one run by Dino) because of the heavy homosexual aspect. The threads got so repetitive that I just couldn't do it anymore.

completely no magic? istarisilver July 22 2009, 04:19:31 UTC
hmm...there are a few games I could bust out of the vault....
if I had the time and patience to run them online.

Star Fronties: Alpha Dawn
Bughunters
Cyberpunk (if I can find a copy, I don't have one anymore)
Mechwarrior
Gamma World (it is science fantasy. no magic, but it has mutant powers).

If you want a mostly technological world but are willing to tolerate magic in it, RIFTs works.

Shadowrun, while I love it, is an even tech/magic mix, so probably doesn't fit your criteria.

I don't mind a slight aspect of magic to it. I'm just so burned on D&D and WOD right now (::runs and hides as she knows this is going to get her flamed big time for saying::).

I want something new and challenging. I'd love Shadowrun or definitely Mech Warrior!

Wish I could help. I just started running a D&D 4th ed game but its an honest to goodness get folks around a table game. I have that whole laughing and goofing off aspect I can't get around.
I have a Star Wars idea that won't get out of my head but my loving fiance may rip apart my spleen if I run a second game on top of D&D. If it wern't a bit of travel for you I'd invite (despite the magicesque nature).

Sorry. That was about as helpful as a kick in the head. I'll go back to my corner :)

Actually, that was very helpful. :) I'm in a Star Wars group right now but due to real life on both sides (mine and my GM), we meet infrequently. I love my Star Wars game to pieces. I just wish I had something more local or something online.

Yeah, I know, I'm being a whinny little emo girl. :P

House of Blooded. We're looking for a DM for it though. It's a game based on writing. We're wanting to run it on LJ as a group so no one misses emails.

Know any DMs who wanna run it? :D

What's the premise? I can check around and see. I've got a lot of experience on the LJ RP circuit, though no time to run the game. You looking for one more player?
