The Vampire Diaries

Last year, I was only peripherally aware of The Vampire Diaries. I think I caught a few minutes of one episode either before or after a Supernatural episode at some point. I may even have been mildly interested, but once I heard it was about vampires and highschoolers (and on the CW), my mind went to Twilight rather than Buffy the Vampire Slayer ( Read more... )

I've been considering watching this show, and you've just about sold me on it completely.

Awesome! I would definitely recommend giving it a chance, especially since True Blood is on hiatus until next summer.

I love this show greatly - I'm up to date with Season 2 now, and the characters are still written with agency, all with their own desires and flaws. Hypnosis *is* violating, rarely solves anything, biting is not sexy fun times for the human, and omg the huge plots that are still unravelling! Everything keeps shifting. It's great!

THIS SHOW IS SO SHIFTY LIKE A SHIFTY THING. I'm surprised I can be any more coherent than that silly statement. ;) I'm really digging it too, and can't wait to catch up!

I ADORE this show. I resisted to, but started watching it 18 episodes in and I'm absolutely hooked. It's not only my favorite TV show right now, it's already in top five of favorite TV shows of ALL TIME! I honestly can't remember EVER being THIS into a television show before.

I've written more about TVD than any other show in a while. I just love everything about it SO MUCH, not just my fave actor in it (Ian Somerhalder -- I don't think I've ever liked a male celeb more) or fave couple (Damon/Elena). I just ... GAH, I love it SO MUCH!

I've been meaning to go check out your older posts now that I've started watching, but I'm nervous about spoilers until I've caught up. I've seen through E12 ("Unpleasantville") now.

I am so ridiculously infatuated with TVD right now; if it keeps on going like this, it looks like I'll also be settling down into a long-term dance and comprehensive analysis that I haven't felt moved to since Buffy the Vampire Slayer. ♥

Yeah, wait until you're done with the season before reading the posts. And there have only been 4 eps this season so far, so you're doing okay on getting caught up. But I'd LOVE to hear your thoughts on my squeeful rambling thoughts of adoration for the show when you're done. :)
