World's Saltiest Carnitas

I made carnitas last night which ended up being tonight's dinner. I think next time I'll use an actual recipe and not my faded memory of making it while in Spanish class in high school. Because all I remembered is that it involves a large pot, pork, lots of water to boil it in, and an obscene amount of salt, and it was very tasty ( Read more... )

Iz okie. Cooking is meant to be experimental. Reminds me of the time I learned that there is a distinct difference between a Tbsp and a tsp on a recipee when I was 12. Yeah, that Thanksgiving pie crust was very salty too. I got to have fun making pie crust play-dough people as being inedible the dough was elsewise useless.

When spanish food is too salty add insane ammounts of sour cream to balance!
