Josh has strabismus. Apparently he's got a fairly mild form that he's managing to control on his own - his eyes take turns turning out somehow. I don't really understand it, just that it's not severe. But I do know that when we were talking to the eye doctor about it she said that more than likely she'd either put him in special lenses in his glasses or, in extremely severe cases, they can do a surgery to somehow cut the muscles making the eyes turn out/in and get the eyes to do the right thing.
I don't know a whole lot about it other than when Josh was first diagnosed it freaked me out thinking that he might have to have surgery on his eyes... but his is doing fine - the doctor wants to keep an eye on him, but is fine leaving him in his regular glasses for now. :)
How old was he was he was diagnosed? I've seen hints of it as early from back post-op while still in the hospital. But even if I brought it up to my doctor she said there is a 1 years waiting list for the eye specialist and there is nothing to do. I just wonder if she sees straight or what does she see when it happens? What are his glasses for? hav eyou seen any improvements?
My brother was cross eyed a a child and he had to wear a path to strengthen his weak eye. Which seemed to work, although it might be slightly lazy now as an adult.
My old roomate had cross eyes when wearing her glasses and so I told her to go to a young cute optomitrist that I had gone to to get it checked out. She ended up with a prescription for contacts that corrected it when they were in, and engaged to the man. She owes me bigtime.

They are cute clothes but not too girl. Well okay they're girly...but in a good way!! Send me your address and they'll be trucking your way this week!

Yes she owes you! Holy cow awesome hookup! :) I think right now Charlie is too young to do anything about her eyes and we'll have to wait and see.
