I have worked the 3-11 shift on Saturdays for a long time, but I recently volunteered to take over the duty of "closing" at midnight. Why I did this, I don't really know...sometimes I am just such a fucking Yes-Man and volunteer to do crap just because I want to please other people. I have only closed twice at this point, but neither experience

Yeah pretty much. I mean, how can you have a pet and not plan for eventual vet fees yet still consider yourself the "good guy?"

You did the right thing, even if it sucks that the man goaded you into losing your cool. Screw that guy.

The people who will tell us we don't care about animals are the same ones one who apparently don't think their pet is worth scraping up every penny they can...they take these cavalier attitudes about paying up front. If their pet was really so precious, they'd be serious about getting the funds, and not telling me "I'd rather pay with a check tomorrow, after services are rendered, so it can bounce and then I'll become part of the huge account receivable money pit that exists at your establishment."
