Here's a sad thought. I haven't bought a new cd since July. It's just a product of living in Malaysia where good music's hard to find or editted. So, tell me what is the best new album you've bought in the last 6 months? The last new release I bought in the states was Smilers by Aimee Mann, and the last thing period was two excellent itunes

the last one is super close to my heart as its my aunt's best friend from childhood (the track "Going to Shadu" is about them as children and has always been a favorite family story). she plays a Mountain Dulcimer that she made herself and her music is simple. it acoustic and very pretty and she tells a lot of good stories. since i have owned the album, 3 of the songs on it have made it to the 25 Most Played list on ipod, which is impressive since i have 5900+ songs. :) anyway, her website is esthergolton.com and you can link to her myspace there, where you can hear her songs. also, she is selling signed copies of her CD to the end of the month, if you want a real CD, but you can get it off itunes too. :) /commerical.
some of my all time favs are anything by Duncan Sheik, Toad the Wet Sprocket and Tori Amos. :)
