Are you fucking kidding me? Because Tokyopop went under, they aren't at LEAST going to release volume 9 of "kaichou wa maid-sama!" Oooooooooh! I am so PISSED OFF!!! Not to mention, Tokyopop doesn't end it's "US publishing efforts" until 5/31, which just HAPPENS to be the day the volume goes on sale, so they should have them all ready to sell by now ( Read more... )

WHAT? I had heard they went under, but I thought they were still going to publish their titles. Damn, I need to finish collecting Maid Sama! and get three volumes of Fruits Basket...

Fruits Basket is a completed manga, so that shouldn't be hard to get.

But with KWMS, there are 12 published volumes in Japan, and it's an on going manga ( # - . -)

Ugh, I feel your pain. I wanted to finish off the Full Metal Panic! novels, but there's no chance of that since it hasn't even finished in Japan. I was already annoyed because they only released one volume of Kino no Tabi, but at least I managed to finish Fruits Basket. Is there any chance of the series they handle being picked up by other companies?

I have no idea. I know people are asking if TokyoPop will give the rights back to the creators so other publishers can take over:
