The Richards' house elf opened the door and ushered the pair inside. Thomas came in from the sitting room, moving into the foyer just as the door opened.
"Good day, Natania!" he called cheerfully, his face breaking out into a wide grin. "And to you, too, Pearline."
Natania smiled and kissed her little brother's cheek softly. "Good day Thomas. Thank you for letting Pearline stay the week with you. She's been rather lonely since Gerard started Hogwarts."
She smiled and kissed her daughter's temple, "Pearline, Uncle Thomas told you hello, say hello back,"
The five year old peaked shyly at her Uncle, "Hello Uncy Thomas"
Thomas returned the gesture with a brotherly kiss to Natania's forehead and nodded at her thanks.
"It's not trouble, really," he insisted. "We'll have a grand time, I'm sure, and she'll have some friends to play with once Annabelle brings the girls home later."
His face broke into a wide grin as Pearline said hello and he bent down to scoop the child into a hug, planting a kiss on her forehead just as he had done with her mother.
"You and I are going to have a wonderful time, aren't we, lovey?" he said, playfully poking her nose.
Pearline smiled and wrapped her little arms around Thomas’ neck, snuggling against him contently. Her Uncle Thomas was quite a handsome man, and was the bravest strongest man she knew beside her daddy.
“Yes, we are gonna have lots of fun Uncle Thomas,” she said sweetly as she kissed his nose.
She turned to her mother, her arms wrapped tightly around her Uncles neck. “Bye bye mama! You can goes now” she said sweetly.
Natania laughed and looked at Thomas, “I don’t know about you, but I think she’s trying to get rid of me.”
