Because I've finished and handed in all my assignments, and for once I'm not working, and have a day off, and everyone else is doing it, we bring you...
Also, I renewed my Ls this morning, which makes me feel a bit pathetic, but now I have til 2009 to get my Ps! XD Hopefully I'll have them within a year, tho, as I now have friends who live far from public transport and therefore motivation to drive to visit ;)
You know, you're right. I really should get my Ps soon :S Silver has been bugging me about it for a while. I can drive, I'm just not confident enough to book the test, let alone do it.
And lucky you!! I wish I'd finished and handed in all my assignments too. :o
Ooh, I didn't even realise you were learning. I suppose, living out where you do, you're far enough from trains that you rather need to drive ;)
Have you been having professional lessons? If not, I recommend you have a couple, and maybe the person can help boost your confidence so you know you're ready :D
So, like, a lot of classical stuff? I don't listen to a great deal of stuff WITHOUT lyrics... I suppose that's partly to do with the fact that I sing a lot, and so I like to listen to music I could potentially sing to, or at least listen to singing... it's generally my focus in music.
Er, yeah, classical... that's it. No, most of the music in my playlist (and indeed, on my hard drive) is instrumental music from games. (Though, I must say, the [I think] London Philharmonic [I know it was a real, honest-to-gosh orchestra] did the tracks for Xenosaga I so you might pass it off as classical.) But that's not to say I don't have other music.
I just find vocal music difficult to deal with played 24/7 which is what happens in my bedroom. Heck, if I could fit more of a selection onto a cd, I'd be listening to this stuff in the car, not whatever the local 70's-Today music station happens to be available in the area.
I sing along (people have been known to scowl and cover their ears in pain, though), but I tend to find vocals very distracting for everyday surfing, writing, simming, etc.
*nods* Living in a big, full household & all, if my vocal-type music wasn't being played, someone else's would be. I think, to some extent, it's what you're used to, because I don't usually find vocals very distracting. Unless i really, really like the song.
But I can definitely see why they would be. ;)
And as to instrumental music from games... I don't play games, pretty much. But watching my brother play things in the past, I've noticed they do have some very nice instrumental music. We just aren't very... exposed... to instrumental music.
And yes, remember damnit. =P People last night said that we were really good and really polished and as good as SYMT! (ISAAC said we were as good as them and there were some things we did better, so THAT was a compliment and a half! XD)
Oh bloody hell I really want to go, seriously, but I've already got tickets to see Arj Barker this friday night, and I work Saturday arvo/night which I might have been able to get off except I'm already getting the week after off as I have tickets to Beauty and the Beast. GAAAAAAAAAAAH! NOT FAIIR I LOVE GREASE!!!
I'll see if I can somehow get work off this Saturday night but it's a 6 hour shift and I highly doubt anybody is going to take it for me twice in a row :"(

Oi, I only live 10 minutes away from the station by car. xD

And by car, exactly :P Once you can drive, maybe you'll actually be able to get to things ;) Speaking of which, are you two coming to grease?
