"I just want to address one thing which has really been bugging me. I keep hearing my liberal Democrat friends saying things like "We're taking our country back!" Ummmm, excuse me? YOUR country?"
I hear you 100%. Most of my friends are pretty liberal and while I respect them and agree with some of their opinions, I still consider myself as a more conservative moderate. I don't appreciate being excluded from my own country. Plus, I feel like I show a lot of respect and tolerance for their opinions, but I have to take all the Republican bashings!? Doesn't seem too fair.
Of course, I'm going to assume that as some of these friends age, they'll come over to the light side. :D

Ellie! Don't let anyone know about the vast right-wing conspiracy to actually teach Shakespeare, Descartes, and other such examples of the oppression of Euro-centric views in colleges! My God, everyone will know that some students actually still care about the philosphical ideas of the last millenia.

PS I am so sick about reading about oppressed Renaissance women. First off, I keep having the wierd yet horrible reoccuring dream where my parents send me to a nunnery for not having a high enough GPA. Secondly, the whole auro of sadness and wasted potential gets lost when you are reading about the 50th woman who had the exact same problems as the previous 49 women.

Shhhhh!!! I know, that's why I DENIED the existence of such a conspiracy!!! If we can lull them into a false sense of security, we can slip our evil plot of oppressive, racist, sexist, bigoted, imperialistic, Euro-centric, dead white males' cirriculum in under their very noses!!!

I constantly get tired of hearing about the oppressed women of any century. It really does lose any emotional tug when you're reading about the 250th women to be locked away and oppressed just like the 249 who came before her.
