Lead the Way - Chapter 069 - Get Up
I'm fed up. I really am. I mean what is this? It's August for Christ's sake! August 4th and for three weeks now all we saw is rain. Less than 20° Celsius and tons and tons of rain. And not the fun kind either. Not the warm heavy rain where you run out and get your clothes soaked because you never were allowed to do that. And it's not the thunderstorm that makes you want to crawl into bed and snuggle with your girlfriend. It's this light on and off rain with grey skies and crap :(
I want my summer! How am I supposed to get through the winter if I don't get my back up of sunrays in August? :( I'm not liking this one bit!
And I know this is a short one, but I had to seperate it from the episode chapter on Monday.
Lead the Way - 069 - Get Up
“Get up.” The voice sounds far away and JJ opens her eyes lazily. The sun is already up and she is still in bed.
“I said get up.” Emily is already dressed and standing in the doorway. JJ’s naked and nowhere near presentable. She wonders why the brunette is being so harsh, why they haven’t woken up together. Why she hasn’t kissed her good morning.
“You are going to make me late.”
“Late for what?” Instead of an answer, Emily just snorts and gets out. JJ’s confused and very aware of her lack of clothes. She gets out of bed wrapped in a bed sheet and picks something from Emily’s closet. She makes her way downstairs and finds Emily sitting on her couch sipping coffee and reading the newspaper.
“Why are you so cold?” Her voice is firm but her eyes are burning with hot tears.
“Oh, get over yourself.” She finally looks up from the paper and notices JJ wearing her clothes. “I’ll want these back by the way.”
“Where are mine?”
“As if you didn’t remember.” Before JJ can say anything else the doorbell rings and Emily breaks into a beaming smile.
“She’s here.” Quickly she opens the door and JJ doesn’t even need to see the face to recognize the voice.
“Welcome home, Darling.”
“I missed you so much.”
“I missed you too.” Sick to her stomach JJ watches as Emily kisses Sara.
When JJ woke with a start she noticed that her cheeks were wet. For a second she wondered why, and then she remembered her dream. As she realized that it wasn’t just a dream, she started crying again.
