Fic- The Boy Next Door Series 25/? [Merlin]
I don't like these next few chapters very much. Don't know why, I really don't like how they turned out. But bear with me through them, I promise it will get better again!
Title: 25. Best Friends(The Boy Next Door Series)

25. Best Friends
Gwen is waiting by her locker when Merlin arrives. She has an expectant look on as the shorter girl approaches. Merlin greets her with a puzzled expression, before starting to dig into the locker for her books.
“So?” Gwen prompts with an eager look.
“So what?” Merlin asks bemused.
“Arthur! Where is he? I want to meet him!”
The excited tone in Gwen’s voice makes Merlin pales.
Merlin loves her friend, really, she does. But Gwen has to be away from Arthur. Those two together would only spell trouble and headache for Merlin (there’s nothing to do with jealousy! Nothing at all!).
“He had a tryout or whatever.” Merlin shrugs, going for nonchalance.
“Oh.” Gwen says disappointed. “Well, I guess I’ll have to meet him later then. Maybe at lunch.”
“Yeah, maybe.” Merlin says.
They remain in silence for a few seconds, Merlin roaming through her locker and Gwen patiently waiting besides her, until Merlin feels a solid arm sneaking around her waste firmly and lifting her up. She squeals in surprise while Gwen giggles.
“Damn Will! You gotta stop doing that!” Merlin complains, slapping the arm holding her.
Will smiles jovially and lays a loud kiss on her cheek. His blue eyes are glowing with amusement.
“Come on Merlin, you love it!”
He comments cheekily, but puts her down. Merlin grins at her friend, taking the golden color of his skin, the huge smile and the brand new piercing in his left ear.
“No, I don’t, you jerk!” She complains half-heartedly, but Will ignores her, and turns to hug Gwen.
“How was your summer? I didn’t hear from you once.” Gwen asks once she’s released. Will makes a face.
“Wonderful. My uncle forgot to mention that when he said summer in Australia he meant two entire months with a freaking native tribe. No technology whatsoever! A total nightmare!”
Merlin and Gwen laughs at his pout.
“Poor Will.” Merlin mocks.
“Poor me indeed!”
Merlin just rolls her eyes.
“Come on you big baby, we going to be late for class.”
