Love that you hate Christmas

Hi. My kids are all grown and my oldest grandson turns 19 this Saturday. Christmas has changed radically for me. I'm getting past that fucking christian meme, yes I do believe that Jesus was really here on Earth and did some amazing stuff but there have been thousands of others who have come and gone and done just as much great stuff, if not more. So last year I told my grandchildren that I'd give them a gift of money (the youngest one is 12 - I have 7 grandchildren), and that from here on out I would celebrate Christmas as "Earth Day" to honor the life energy our planet supplies us with. I still put up a small (artificial) fibreoptics tree and decorate it with all crystal and glass things that don't represent Christmas. I do buy a poinsettia plant and set out a couple other decorations (such as a really pretty swan dish that is white with pastel colors on it, etc. Otherwise I really hate all that is attached to Christmas, the stores are packed with crazed people trying to figure out what gifts to buy, the roads are jammed up
