I have friends coming over in about an hour and what am I doing? Reading LJ of course. There is something wrong with that. Especially since I'm still in my bathrobe and the house could use a bit of touching up

While it doesn't address your problem exactly, it may help. From what I've seen on the show, I'd explain to your child when you put them to bed that this is where you sleep. When they get up, simple march them into their room and put them to bed saying that this is where they sleep. If they get up again, march them into their room and bed but don't say a word. They will get the message. You have to do all this very calmly.

I just want you to know, I took your advice and we've been doing much better with sleep around here. =) Thanks for the link it's was a godsend!
