Found them!

The flat surfaces in my studio, for the most part, have been located. Now I can get back to some creating. I've been thing about moving a comfy chair in here. I always find that when I'm in the mood to do cross-stitch or knitting I have to leave the studio for a comfy spot to work. I always feel like I'm not creating unless I'm in here and I ( Read more... )

I used to work in a private mental institution in Vermont,One of our patients had some sort of chocolate addiction, and i think it was even a money consuming one.But i've also read that chocolate which people sometimes link with breast cancer(whatever), has a calming effect or something like that on women.I've kind of given it up for the most part because of my lactose problem.

I'm working on not being ashamed of it though but you know R, you know me very well I think but I bet you didn't know that I go to meetings at least once a month and had therapy for a long time about my addiction to eating. I've battled with my weight and hiding food and all that since high school. And it is just like an alcoholic and alcohol, same principle. It's all self medicating and truly the hardest part, truly is admitting it so there you go. You're already a step ahead ( ... )

Awww honey it's okay, thanks for sharing this though. I was never addicted to chocolate until I had my weight loss surgery, now I looove it. I hate being fat, hate, hate, hate it, but I love other fat people. My heart goes out to your sister.

I love the way you described finding flat spaces. I am completely out of them and this is a big reason why I'm not creating.

I swear this is the third journal I've written about this on but my cat is driving me insane, she's kind of humping my arm and when I try to move her to one side she yowls and bites me. I so have to get her spayed but we haven't had any intact male kitties so I don't want to put her through that but I know I will because I should, bleh.

Just wanted to say hi. Found you via Mellisamh.

Hugs,
jacqui

Thanks for the kind words!! They are so helpful. I've given up chocolate for lent.... it's helping. I'm not going nuts every time I walk past a Snickers bar anymore. =) Think I just need to get the darn stuff out of the house.

Don't ya love Melissa? I'll add you to my friends list.
