I think it's instinctual for most mammals to be tolerant of the very young and small. Some sort of survival mechanism or something. Babies of all kinds can be darned annoying and if they weren't so cute, they wouldn't last very long, then where would the species be?

Snooch may not LIKE Mim, but she hasn't killed or injured her yet. That suggests a certain amount of tolerance.
