Reading the Archives

Mar 16, 2006 21:51

I never do that; click on "archive" but feeling blue and lonely and all sorts of pitiful shit this evening, I did.

My lord, I used to write in here on a much more regular basis, and not just posting "stop the war" rants (or something about Bush et al) either.

Why'd I stop?
Because I felt as if I was pissing into the wind?

Yeah, something like that

I feel like that on here sometimes, but then you or someone else comments, and I realize it's not so. Just remember, there's people paying attention to what you have to say even when they don't say so.

It has just been the most amazing thing, to go back and read the archives. Can one do that for all of one's "friends" or is that just something that is open to the writer. Just something I've been wondering about. (When I'm not thinking about all the other shit that's going on all over the place.)

You can do that for your friends, at least, as far as I can tell. I imagine it's possible to filter entries in a way that blocks them from viewing, but otherwise it's a free-for-all.

It was enough to just read through all of mine, I think.

I hadn't realized how long I've been posting to LJ--that was what really surprised me.

You doing ok? Just got back from six days in Eureka :)
