And no, I won't put out any spoilers. After 160 pages, though, I'm not impressed.

After seeing all the fanfare and hype last night, I was ALMOST inclined to visit the library to finally start reading this series. But I resisted and spent the afternoon working on my own novel instead.

FINALLY, I've found a sense of focus and discipline. Nothing like the desperation of knowing that I've only got a year before my student loan payments kick in (this is the last year I've got to finish the MFA without applying for an extension) and need to start trying to create a saleable book to jump-start a burst of creativity.
