Does this story involve scandalous celebrities or imaginary danger that we're all in or missing, possibly dead attractive white girls that no one heard about until they dissapeared? No? Then yeah, no one's heard of this in the American media.
This is very saddening, but it seems like it's going to be a very long time until high school education will actually be free of these crazy problems. This has been going on for decades, books being banned or plays unable to be performed because of parents' opinions, usually those in the minority of the vote.
Unfortunately, I don't think we'll ever be free of "these crazy problems." The whole educational system in this country is in a big huge mess. I see students coming in less and less prepared as each year passes, and they don't seem to worry about it; after all, they tell me, they're not there to learn anything, they just want to parrot what they've already been told (home and church) and get a degree.
