I hadn't thought of that. Sven is going to be confusing kids all over the world. They should have mentioned that in the disclaimer in the credits right next to the disclaimer that his statement that "all men pick their nose and eat it" is his opinion and not Disneys.
They are from Nepal. Munchkin absolutely adores them. It's a lot of fun sharing our culture and learning theirs. And even learning things about ours that we've always taken for granted - like why are they called hamburgers if they are made of beef and not ham?
I don't think Sven's improper grammar will confuse too many kids. At least not any greater number than the ones who learned that "meeces" is the plural of mouse from the cat who always said he hated "meeces to pieces".
My guess about "hamburger" is that it's named after the German place name or the place name's ruler. Like how "sandwich" is named after the Earl of Sandwich who first put meat between 2 pieces of bread and ate them as one. I'm sure the real explanation is somewhere on the net if you're really curious.
Nepal is an interesting place. It must be very enlightening have them with you.
