Somehow, in the midst of the move and my drastic reduction in internet time, I almost missed something amazingly hilarious.  See, several months ago there were rumors, and even reported casting, of an American version of HYD.  Everything I heard about it sounded like a train-wreck. To the point where I never thought it would get off the ground. But
