Ok, I've been following SMASH, more out of morbid curiosity than anything - I find it mostly horrific with occasional good songs. But last night's episode with the Bollywood number?! ROFL ahahahaha - that was awesome!!! :D

What's SMASH?

It's an NBC series - a musical within a musical type story. It follows a group of people trying to get a musical about Marilyn Monroe on Broadway. The writers, producer, director and various cast. So we get lots of rehearsals of song & dance numbers which usually fantasy-ripple into glimpses of what the actual show could look like. But most of the characters frequently break into song randomly throughout the story, too, just like a regular, old-fashioned musical

Sounds like NBC is trying to get on the Glee bandwagon. (Not that I've watched Glee either, mind you.)

I've never seen a Bollywood picture all the way through. I've only seen clips during news reports. They do seem like loads of fun though. I should check one out someday.

II don't watch Glee either but I agree that sounds exactly what they are trying to do.

I've only seen a handful of real Bollywood movies, not counting Bride & Prejudice, which is a Hollywood attempt at Bollywood - but I like it a lot!
