I loved it.
I really, really, did. I can't think of one flaw. I'm sure there was, and I'm sure it didn't follow the book in some places, but I loved the movie so much I can't bring myself to think of any parts where that happened. It took me at least two tissues to get through it.
I started to cry at "You have her eyes" and by the Resurrection Stone I was bawling my eyes out. (I know I wasn't the only one crying. I heard sniffling.)
Watching the Death Eaters systematically destroying Hogwarts was devastating. Dumbledore was more Dumbledore-ish at King's Cross than he's been since Richard Harris passed away.
I was waiting for my favorite line: "OI, THERE'S A WAR ON!" but it never happened. I guess it worked out okay since there was really no place for it. My favorite line was replaced by, "Since when have our plans ever worked out? We plan and once we get there it all goes to hell." LOL
Everyone applauded when Bellatrix died and everyone applauded again when Neville killed Nagini. We all held our breaths when Harry killed Voldemort. The scene where Harry knocks Voldemort over wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
I liked that they actually explained the Elder Wand story, and that Hermione didn't know the answer. In the other movies, she always knows stuff, even stuff she probably shouldn't know yet. But I liked that she asked Harry about it, and he told her. Yay for Harry figuring stuff out on his own!
Ron was really, really good. His acting when he finds out Harry has to die? Yeah. So good. Also: "Don't you dare go after my girlfriend!" LOL
I need to reread the series. Like right now. Like I have time.
