I think Othello might have a few of those ... I've never seen a domestic cat do this, but whenever he wants to settle down on a chair, the floor, a blanket that I'm under, etc, he digs with his front paws before he curls up. No claws, no destruction, just as if he trying to make a little burrow in the chair/sofa/floor. It's really cute, but never ( Read more... )

No it's just a cat thing ^^ Some kitties like to make a little nest before they take a nap. I catch Domino doing it every now and then.

It's not kneading, I've seen him do that too, it's very much a digging motion. I've seen him knead his actual bed, which is also cute.

Most cats will knead, even if they've been declawed.

Our Pixie will knead, then go around in a little circle before he settles down, much like I've seen dogs do in cartoons. :>
