WTF Avatar Sites

I've noticed quite a few new avatar sites popping up recently. To me, they're all exactly the same. There's a "normal" currency, a "special" currency, and a "donation" currency. Now, I won't bicker that they're copying the money model I started with Varus, that's something basic. My rant here is how they are all exactly the sameOf all these new

if you ever have a color shift problem, do post about it. The actual avatar is full-color png, it's just the single layers that are 8-bit paletted PNG. If you are seeing colors shifting like that it means somewhere in your avatar there is an image that isn't in the right color mode... and that can be fixed. A few of my artists haven't gotten the hang of the color modes. ^^'

I know you're working on a big update to your avatar system (or so I've heard), does part of that include changing every instance of imagecreate() to imagecreatetruecolor() ? That would fix the problem once and for all! Also, you might want to do what I did and make an image preparation script, that is, a script that converts new images to the proper format and color mode.
