teehee! i guess it's confusing when pointing to a new layout. you've commented in my one and only public entry. my photoshop entry. ;) but thanks anyway jane. elijah looks really good in that pose.
my brother didn't expect the party. he's never had a surprise birthday party, and i can't think of the last time he's had a regular b-day party.
I've seen you around on LJ and have recently admired some of your icons and artwork (not a SPN fan but that card you made for Cologne_chick was amazing!) and would love to friend you, if you don't mind.
And omg, your LJ background pic just makes me melt - very artistic and omg, so fitting for Elijah to have all that glittering and glowing going on around him. :)))
and i know you're around as well. i think you comment at lijahicons from time to time. it would be great to finally friend each other. as you say, i'm not into SPN, but many of my friends are, so i try to be accommodating to them. i'm just an elijaholic at heart. you'll find a lot of my posts are elijah-centric. i do lots of photography posts, and go off on wild tangents, spurts of irrational thoughts and potty-mouth rants. just warning ya. =)
thanks for your kindness about my layout. (i do those for friends too) i changed it about a month ago and i quite like it myself. ;-)
Question: Is the Nikon D3 (I think that's the model number) an expensive camera? I've noticed that's the camera most of the paparazzi use who are following Rob Pattinson in NYC and LA.
the best setting is to set your camera on a tripod or a steady surface to avoid shaking. because there's so little light, the camera will adjust to a slow shutter speed. when that happens you will shake and you see what you get when you look at your photos.
stay with the night setting. it'll give you better photos, but the tripod is a must because of the shooting environment. a tripod is always useful, so i say get one. this one is way cool!

How lovely of your brother, but then you went to such a lot of trouble for his birthday!

No wonder your brother was so surprised, in a good way, of course!

you could try setting your camera to the landscape mode, then go to the functions button and find the effects mode. set that to vivid.
hopefully, that will give you the photos you're looking for. let me know how it works. =)

most of those guys won't shoot with anything less than a $1,200 DSLR camera, whether nikon, canon, fuji, olympus...
