It’s like two different dimensions and two different versions of the same people.
Noah’s life is such tragedy, and yet he somehow maintains his sense of humour and love of people.
It seems nobody in Luke’s life truly sees him and yet Noah, who is outwardly blind, understands the real Luke right from the start.
It’s gorgeous to read how they sit and talk together; how they are instantly happy in each other’s company; while New York simply fades away into the background.
They find each other… and Noah is eventually also seen rather than just past by!
LOVE IT!

'Just getting to spend time with someone that doesn’t care about the clients in Asia or how best to get around another import tax. It’s the best feeling to sit there, on the ground, and just talk.
About everything, about nothing. Lucy cuddled in next to them both as they have gotten to know each other over these weeks. Noah letting Luke vent about his life, gossiping and making up stories for each person that hurries by. They tease and banter and act in the moment. Neither one being brought down by their past or who they are to everyone else.
Just them being enough for each other."
just one of the many great passages from this extraordinary piece. i find it really ironic that it should be posted as Romney's comments about the 47 percent are revealed. Even with his probable objections, Noah would fit into that group a couple times over.
Basic humanity is a hallmark of this story and plants the seeds for a continuation...please!

And how horrible that someone would look at him that way.
But thank you for the sweetness and glad you are enjoying it.

So beautifully written, full of the kind of descriptive writing I really love.
I like the irony that Luke has this high flying lifestyle and that it takes Noah, a beggar on the streets, to make him see whats important.
Love it and would love to see more of this.

And yep that's our Noah, always there to help Luke 'see' the way. Hee.
Thanks again!
