It's been a hell of a few days.

I lost my wedding ring at this past weekend's game. It's been found, thank every god, by the site caretaker, but I still spent a few days hysterically feeling like I needed to cut my hand off in atonement for losing a hundred-year-old family heirloom.

Much sympathy about umbran's job probs... went through that far too many times with Monster Alice, it's just no fun.

And I understand about the wedding ring... I take it off to do free weights, and sometimes space on putting it back on and go off to work, and I'm always super anxious that one of the cats will decide it's a toy and I'll never see it again...

Again, sorry to hear about umbran's employment difficulties.

And about the silks instructor conflicts. Might it be worth thinking about leaving silks for a while for the other class, so you're just doing one class, but maybe with a teach you like better, and can work with better?

I'm sorry about the teacher conflict. I know that feeling. (I went home literally crying every week of Fall I last year because of bad instruction.) I second the recommendation to just switch to a different discipline for one session. If it's another aerials class, you won't lose any strength, and you can still practice silks-specific skills at open studio. And at best you'll figure out something new about your body, or train your muscles in a different way, that makes you stronger or more confident coming back to silks in the summer.
