I've had this rolling around in my headspace since Saturday afternoon. lol.
I figured some of our human colloquialisms and figurative speech might be lost on the Autobots. This is one of those you just don't think about explaining...

Characters: Spike, Carly, Prowl
----------------------------------
Carly grinned as she and Spike walked into the Ark. Prowl was about to ask who the human girl Spike was walking around with was, when his facial
recognition protocols identified her as Carly. He quirked an optic ridge.
Carly gave him a grin and flipped her newly-dyed blue hair.
Prowl searched his data archives for information about humans and any bility to change the color of their hair, and came up with nothing. His curiosity
finally got the best of him and he asked
"Carly, wasn't your hair a different color yesterday?" Carly gave him a michevous smile and ran her fingers though one side, as though brushing it back.
"You like it?"
Prowl wasn't sure what to say to that. "Is... this color intended to make a human female more attractive?"
Spike stifled a snicker. Carly shot him a glance, but immediately went back to confusing Prowl.
"Well, you know Prowl, Haloween *is* coming up, and lots of people dye their hair a different color for haloween parties." she was just waiting for his
reaction now. She giggled softly.
Prowl nodded politely. "I see. If you find it to be preferential, then..." he though quickly "yes, it looks..." he was trying to figure out what the right
thing to say would be. "It looks..." he didn't find it attractive.
"I am to assume, then, that Spike will also be adorning this particular hue and coloration also?"
Spike near-about gasped, and Carly shot him a look that read "Really!?"
Carly shrugged. Prowl nodded. "In any event, your physical decoration is entirely up to you. Though I can say that it is entirely not unattractive." He
hoped he had worded that right.
Now Spike spoke up. "Thanks Prowl." He started to turn.
"Although..." Prowl quickly added "you might want to drive cautiously." Both turned, confused.
"I have heard that humans with hair that is blue hare somewhat... impaired when it comes to driving skills. I don't know why blue hair-paint would have
that effect on humans, perhaps it is the chemicals involved."
Both humans exchanged another confused looks. Spike finally got out "...blue hair?"
"Yes." Prowl nodded. "For example, there is one song about a female driver having blue hair and driving rather recklessly. I believe the title of the song
was "Blue Hairs Driving In My Lane."
Both humans paused, then busted out laughing.
"Prowl," Spike finally said, "That's just a song. And 'Blue Hairs' refers to little old ladies!"
Prowl looked confudes. "Little old ladies?" he searched his database again.
"But, Carly is female, and rather small in stature."
"Hey!"
"I mean she isn't that tall".
Spike was about to explain what "little old ladies" meant, but they were allready late to meet his dad. Plus it would be so much more fun to just let Prowl
figure it oout for himself. "We gotta go Prowl, Dad's expecting us in Wheeljack's shop." He waved.
Carly added: "If you have any more questions, you know where to find us!"
The door shut behind the pair before Prowl's logic circuits finally fizzed and he fainted.
Again.
