It was really something--their tomb is a very pretty 19th century gothic revival structure. It's fenced around so you can't go all the way up to it, but people had left flowers at the fence. My dad got a picture of me and Curran in front of it.
Thanks! Your Christmas present was waiting for me when I got back. I've already gotten into the tea and jam, and they're delicious! I love how the jam has big pieces of pear in it. Curran and I are looking forward to making the scones just as soon as I'm well again. Did you get mine?
I've also really been enjoying BibliOdyssey, by the way. I keep it on my coffee table, and I've read almost all of it. According to the introduction, it has a bunch of material that isn't on the web site. My favorites so far have been the Renaissance medical and anatomical drawings, the danse macabre drawings, and the Durer Ship of Fools illustrations.
I yours, too. How did you know I wanted a bunch of Assam from Upton? I'd just gotten a few samplers in my latest order, but I had trouble picking and I wanted to try them all. It was perfect, like you read my mind.
I finally got my BibliOdyssey, too, btw...Mom picked it for me off my Amazon list (she didn't even see my blog post going on and on about it, but I figured if I put it out there enough *someone* would make a gift out of it). It really is a beautiful book, although there's too much white space -- some of the images could be quite a bit bigger!
There's so much material out there, though. It would be great if he put a new one out every year or so.
