(Technically, I started working out again in the middle of January, but I'm going to use my P.T. consult as the first day from which to gauge my progress...)
I'm sure how good the classes are depends a lot on the instructor, but so far I think it's an awesome alternative to mindlessly running on a treadmill (which i find absolutely torturous). It's definitely more fun as far as cardio workouts go.
I think most Zumba classes are usually a combination of latin dance & aerobics, but one of the mix classes I went to added in some hip-hop and even a few bellydance moves. I loved it, but it was a little intimidating...not only had most people in the class been taking it for a while, but they were all so well coordinated and choreographed, i felt like it stepped into an audition for some hip, urban musical ;P
I'm definitely planning on working yoga in, too...I just haven't been able to make any of those classes in the past couple of weeks. I'd like to figure out a routine to do at home, but it's been so long since i've done yoga regularly, I'm never quite sure what to do.
Yoga dvds can be your friend. I own at least 10. Also, you can go to http://www.yogatoday.com and do one of their classes. They have free hour long classes and they put up a new schedule each week. I like the ones by Sarah Kline. I like the way she teaches best. Her intro to kundalini yoga is awesome.

You should also try to fit some yoga in there. And that is easy to do at home.
