Heh. It's a lot odder when you know who the characters are (the female is a reciprocal version of the male one, living in parallel universes and living similar lives).

And this is the result of sinus medication and a bad infection. Blasted this sucker out in less than half an hour. Besides, something like this happening is all too possible in the world of Paradigm City.

The barriers between worlds thin at certain times, and the boundry between the old year and the new is one of those.

This piece does a nice job setting the melancholy mood of Roxanne's New Year.
