I promised myself that years before I left elementary school - be able to afford to take care of children before having them. Children are expensive, even when NOT spoiling them.
I hope with all my heart that everything will be all right...
I received your package yesterday... Thank you so much for your great kindness to me... I was so happy when I saw your name :-) The cards are exquisite... I shall be making good use of them and send them to loving homes.
*kisses your hands and gives you a few healing potions*
I'm sorry to hear about your mom. It's okay to be frustrated with the system. I can understand your Dad's position as well. I guess all there is to do is smile and be supportive.
As far as staying home with the kids...you don't actually STAY HOME when you have kids. That's what parks and play groups are for. May I suggest a good CO-OP Nursery school? Anyway, that's in the future. But now you have time to look for a good one.
That sucks about your mom's job situation. Honestly, I hate it when other shit stupid people decide to do comes back to bite the nondeserving folks on the ass.
As for having children and staying home, I can tell you from experience there is never any boredom once having offspring. *g* It's a life changing experience, that's for sure.
My prayers are with your mom that something good happens for her soon!
Some of us (heh) have raised perfectly fine babies while working full-time. Back in my Wonder Woman days, I slept five hours a night, commuted 75 miles a day, and worked a high-stress job in another state, yet. And my kids came out fine. So don't worry about it...you will be able to do it when the time comes.
