Yeah, but that would support people that aren't right wing Christians who will call him 'master'. I wonder if it would interest him that hardly anyone who works for Domino's fits his criteria of 'Perfect Christians'.
I can think of worse evils - control freaks who use religion as an excuse to install their agendas. Just like they claim the Anti-Christ will.
Wow ... that's a thought ... the founder of Domino's is the Anti-Christ ...
Actually, it might be good - they can inbreed themselves to death in their little utopia where women are third-class citizens who are not allowed to go out in public for fear of 'inflaming men's lusts'.
And, yeah, there are people like him. I meet their homeschooled kids twice a week at college.
On a high not, Naples - and hence Ave Maria - are not too far away from Miami; which means they are near the center of the highest concentration of Jews and Santirean worshippers in the USA. And if the citizens of Ave Maria decide to pull a 'holy cleansing', the rest of Miami (the Spanish cartels, gangs, drug lords, and the remains of the Mafia) will NOT stand for it ... and Miami fights meaner.
So ... here's another excuse to leave Florida ... a civil war not more than two hundred miles south of me.
We're reaching the end of a cycle of civilization. We're at the tail-end of the Cesearic era (symptoms mentioned in the last papragraph of my post) and things will only get worse. America is being slowly turned into a religious police nation and it's happening so slowly, no one is really noticing
( ... )
I've stayed away from Domino's for two reasons; 1) The extremist views of the founder 2) The pizza SUCKS.... have I ever mentioned that I worked at an independent pizza joint and ever since have been something of a pizza snob?
It's so weird, when I was in high school I thought the world was going to end in thermal nuclear war. I was pretty sure bringing kids into the world was a waste of time. I saw Clinton in '93 at my college and had new hope. Got married, had kids and felt great about the world. Now, we've got this mess. People who care more about "Survivor" and "Idol" than the Bill of Rights. Strict constructionist are scary scary people.
Unfortunately, by the time Clinton got into office, George Sr. had already started putting his guys into power. That's why they threw fits and howled for impeachment when he socially stepped out of line - otherwise, Clinton was a fairly good administrator who actually did his job. He did promise hope ... however, the Ones in Charge weren't promising it.
I had no idea the Domino's founder was such a nutjob; I'm fairly sure no one else of my generation knows, either. This is the first I've heard of it.
I always knew there was something off about Dominos...
Meh, what do I know, though? ^^; I'm confusing with my own political and social views. I personally think that what portions of the world need is a return to a strong monarchial leadership to get things streightened out... then once things are pointed in the right direction, phase democracy back in. Then again, I'm also intensely socially liberal and economically liberal.
So does that mean I'd be a warm and fuzzy dictator? ^.^
Anyway, go ahead and let this grand experiment continue. It'll be another brick in the wall, along with the consitutional banning of gay marriage and the defeat of Row v. Wade. America slowly turning into a conservative wasteland. Eventually people will stand up for what is important...
Still, I've made my piece known, so I really can't fade back into the wallpaper and quietly go about and wait for the fall.
By the way, there is also a conceptual drawing of this Utopia - it's designed like a sixteenth-century middle Europe village with a giant church in the middle of the town square and an extremely tall statue of the crucifixion sitting next to it. It looks more like a Dutch miniature golf course than a real town.
Monarchial? Would you and the 'Mrs.' care to talk to us (hubby and me) about something like that?

Good and evil. Like contraception is the worst evil he can think of.
Wouldn't it be nice if he said, instead, that they were going to work to eradicate poverty in Florida as it is now? Or something like that?

Utopias always end in flames.
