You're probably right, especially in relation to girls, who need to run a household and look for suitors instead of being old intellectual spinsters. :P

Oy.

The 'addictive personality' WILL find an outlet huh?

I've never been a game fan, pac man and asteroids were about as good as I ever got - computer games take up too much space, let alone time, so I don't 'get it' really.

But I've seen it. - My nephew's ONLY conversation (from age 14 to 16 mind you) was about computer games and the characters and and and ad nauseum. This was a SMART (literally genius level) kid here. - and **sigh**

LOL - as for Wolfma's comment.... *I* am addicted to books, and proud of it! *grin* (I bet you're right though)- my own munchkin (13) is also a heavy reader - and I have to watch her to make sure she gets up and gets enough excersize! - it's absolutely better than being in front of the TV, but.....

I can only think of my own 'obsessions' during my teen years (I have an addictive personality, based on a whole family of addicts of one sort or another) and wondered why nobody thought it was weird. Especially when my every waking moment was devoted to being part of the cast of the 'Rocky Horror Picture Show' from ages 17-20 ... there must have been something wrong. ^_^;

Yes, always make sure to get up and exercise. Especially at that age. I wish somebody had kicked me around to do that.
