It is still weird to wake up on a Monday and not get ready for work. I have been sending out my resume and I have a couple of interviews lined up for next week. *crosses her fingers

I'm in kind of a similar situation where my company isn't doing so well and my boss has laid me off to 3 days a week...I know where that's going.
Anyway, sometimes the smaller Thanksgivings are the ones you remember the most.
I hope things are looking up for you in the job market. It seems the economy is not in need of a lot of people dispite profession :/ Have a great Thanksgiving.
Good luck with the interviews next week. And in the meantime, relax and enjoy Thanksgiving with your daughter. :)
I'm Canadian, and while we do have Thanksgiving, it's in early October, and not the LARGE holiday that it is in the US. But a lot of the same food, turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, etc. Now I'm getting hungry. :)
My Thanksgiving is going to be different this year as well. For the first time ever, I won't be with my parents for Thanksgiving - I found out a little late in the game that they wouldn't have the money (due to dealing with Katrina and such) to fly my brother down for Thanksgiving and then right back down a week and a half later when his school quarter was over. So instead I paid to fly my brother down here (as late as it was, I only could really afford one ticket, as opposed to flying us both to New Orleans), where he'll join me and some friends in an 'orphan' Thanksgiving for those of us not joining family.
I'm definitely very happy and excited to at least be with my brother for this week, but I'll miss my parents and the dinner table at home.
*hugs* You have a wonderful week too, Lady Tiggs! Enjoy all there is available to you ... and some pie too *smiles* Best of luck to you with the interviews and job hunt. Happiest blessings to you and your family.
