Sounds about right to me, though I'd shop around a bit for the various bits'n peices, might be able to get something better if you ask nicely (though this is a given for anything really)

who's doing the assembling and frieghting for you? you _might_ be able to get away without having to spend that...

The friend is ordering the parts online and getting them sent, and he will put it all together. I guess I'll shop around as much as I can, since it will take me a little while to get the extra money together (but not long).

I think (from memory) That that video card was similar to the one Riven ordered online. Apparently it's not a good one. One of the later Nvidia cards where they really skimped out on a lot of good stuff. Though I may be wrong. You might want to ask Riven about it.

Don't worry, the card's fine. I bought a 7300GS, and it's shithouse. Your's obviously isn't, being a 7600GS.

Now, I don't know if you were considering buying a second 7600GS for an extra $150 which would make your GPU equivalent to a 7900GT using SLI to link to two cards together (like I was hoping to do myself.)

Trouble is, I've had a look at the motherboard and your motherboard doesn't support SLI. That means that you won't be able to link two SLI-capable cards together to form a Frankencard.

Here's a link to your motherboard:

The rest looks fine though, hon.
