I got Exit Polled!

Nothing ever happens in my little town. We are but a spec on the map.  But this morning, we were being exit polled. Well, let me be more specific.  The women were being polled, which was a little strange.  I mean, wouldn't you want a nice sampling?  I was in line for 30 minutes and only saw women approached.

That does seem quite odd that they would only be polling women. I agree a more random sampling seems to be what would be expected. But then again the polls can influence an election. There was concern in 2000 that the early awarding of Florida might have discouraged voters out West from voting. So maybe the pollster is trying to advance distorted results in the hopes of promoting one candidate or another...

Absolutely because if PA goes red this time around it's likely McCain would win. But if it goes Blue then chances are Obama will. An early projection putting it in either camp could affect the results out West as supporters of either candidate who lost might stay home. And what is with the reports of Black Panters intimidating people at the polls in Philly?

My county borders Philadelphia and I work right outside the city limits. All I can say is this, there are a ton more McCain/Palin signs in places I never saw Bush/Cheney signs, especially the working class neighborhoods that surround the refineries and factories in the area. We are the most 'urban' of the counties that surround Philly.

I, as a lifelong Republican, haven't at least given up hope that my state will go McCain.

And I am not in the least bit surprised about the bullying at the polls. Republicans repeatedly get that crap in the city. It just usually isn't reported.
