Between the Muggle job, being sick a few times, computer woes and the holidays, I haven't been on LJ in like forever. I have a little bit of my November trip to NYC to post. Warning, it isn't much and not my best writing effort, but I want to have it documented.
The view from the sixth row was divine. Much thanks to Deb and Doc again for allowing me to stay in those seats even though I agreed to trade with them at intermission. I owe them a life debt, no doubt about it!
There were charity auctions at the end of the shows. At the matinee, they auctioned off an autographed Equus t-shirt that Dan put on, rubbed his sweat into (Fuck me there was something so damn sexy about that!) and autographed. Then, at the evening show, they auctioned off Kate Mulgrew’s practice script, complete with autographs that were kissed with lipstick by the cast. Again, yes, that was very sexy…
The Courtyard Marriot in Jersey City was a very nice place to stay. Large clean room, great local, excellent toiletries, fabulous staff member who got me synthetic pillows since I am allergic to down.
We had dinner at The Bubba Gump Shrimp Company. It was a great meal and the restaurant was loads of fun. A waiter looked just like Seamus Finnigan. Honestly, we mused that Dan got Devon the job.
Deb, Doc and I stayed up until 2AM discussing canon, which is always made of awesomeness.
Goodbyes suck and this one was no exception. Boy, do I wish all of my fandom friends lived in the same town. I got a little misty as I waved goodbye.
OK- I’m getting teary just typing this so I will leave it here. If you can, get thee to Equus!
