I'm sure you know this, but just in case you forgot...WE LIVE IN A CAPITALISTIC SOCIETY!!!!

So if I want to buy a new laptop, so that I can have an easier time working at home on the days I or my husband is sick, and my company doesn't support Vista, thus requiring me to get an XP Pro machine...I SHOULD BE ABLE TOO!!!

You could try buying from the business sections of the computer companies. I know they still have XP offered.
I'm looking into getting a laptop (because my desktop is slowly dying), and I'm running into the same problem. About 90% of the programs I use are not compatible with Vista, which is full of major suck. Ugh.

Good idea! I didn't think of that.

Of course the other option is I could get the company to get me one. But then again, I like the idea of being able to put whatever the heck I want on it.
