Big images under the cut.
Spurred by
katiria's Sims post, I have ventured into the time-sucking hole that is Sims 3 once more. Since my previous families got rich using the kaching cheat, I decided it was time to make my Sims work for their dollars... or at least make their children work for them.
The self-required rules:
1. No adults or elders will work
2. One adult will never be controlled, but left to do as he/she pleases.
So, here are the Finnleys:

From
The SimsYeah, they're asleep. They seem to do that a lot.
Frank Finnley is the patriarch. He does nothing but watch TV and play comptuer games all day. I never control him, which leads to a lot of him screaming until he finally gets smart enough to go to bed by himself. He doesn't work, but he does occassionally decide to wander over to the baby and feed her if she cries.
His mother, Flora Finnley, spends all day cleaning up after Frank. She doesn't work, but she does all the cooking, which occassionally leads to her being asked to make meals for other Sims for cash.
The only young adult of the family, Traci-Ann, works at the mausoleum at night and goes to school by day. She also takes care of the baby, fixes all the property damage Frank causes, and brings in all the money to the household.
The child, Frank Finnley, Jr. is the ugliest little fat kid you'll ever see. But because he doesn't do any work, being too young, he has really good grades. He is often awoken at night by the baby because Frank didn't want the crib in his room.
Darrell Finnley is the baby girl. She doesn't do anything, and therefore she gets nothing in return. Some examples:

From
The SimsThe baby is stuck in the high chair? Let's just ignore her!

The baby is crying and annoying me? Well, at least the TV is on.

The baby is crying again? Well, Frank Jr. can't feed the baby. Let's just hope she shuts up.

And this is where that kind of quality childcare leaves you-- with a baby eating on the floor at 2 AM while everyone else is asleep. And in case you ask-- no, I did not get to pick a trait when Darrell reached childhood.
A typical day for Flora:

Getting angrier and angrier as she does all the housework and Frank sits on his lazy ass, not even bothering to put on real clothes.
And then there was this excellent episode, when Frank broke the computer after sitting in front of it for a full day playing games:

Oh, just leave it. I'm sure Traci-Ann will take care of it after her double-shift working with dead people. It's certainly not a fire hazard or anything.

What did I tell you?
But so far no one has died. Both Frank, Jr. and Darrell have made it to their next stage! Frank, Jr. suddenly turned into 21, but Darrell is pretty cute.

We do parties at 4:35 AM around here, cause that's when Traci-Ann has free time.
