What's a "troth"? Shakespeare irritates me. He should be translated into contemporary English.

Troth: Old English. It means one's Honor, but Honor in the BIG sense, the place where Honor and Truth converge. It is where the word for "Truth" comes from.

I was mostly being inflammatory for amusement purposes only. Although I don't care much for Shakespeare, I do love words, and often expound on etymology or philology on my blog. Thanks for the description, too! It was more enlightening than the dictionary definition that I had.

I have always loved this.

Hey, do you think there is any chance of getting You and Matt at the wedding? I know crazy request and all, probably an impossibility, especially last minute and all, but I've been pondering this for the last month and if I could have you two there, supporting me at this event (not to mention the reception with my family), reunited with you all, with respective partners as well (or not--your choice), it would be pretty cool.

If not, fear thee not. We will meet up for Spite CDs and lunch before I vanish for the Honeymoon.

Oh, also: If you are in Salem Friday night, stop by the Tavern at the Hawthorne Hotel, I will be pounding Martinis from 8-12pm.

Hey there.

I can't speak for Matt, but I could probably go--time/place? What's the attire? How's your mental state going into this?

I can do Friday night for sure...Saturday is almost definitely out (two of my Northeastern friends successfully did their dissertation defenses this week, so big celebration!).

I'll see you on Friday sometime after 8 PM. Save me a seat (I assume a glass of wine will suffice instead of a chai?) :)
