Writer's Block: Volunteering

 Sure I do the traditional volunteer for the PTA stuff and it's enjoyable. Our church gets its fair share. But a good deal of my time, talent, and treasure currently go to environmental awareness. Sometimes it's cleaning out cages at (CSA) the shelter or helping with their educational programs; others it's helping to organize a toxic product drop

I feel bad that my ability to volunteer for anything is so limited. I suppose I offset it with donations to certain groups. Maybe our recycling helps. We do recycle everything possible. Aluminum. Paper. Plastic. Batteries. You name it we do find a place for it other than the trash. It has cut our trash to one bag a week, so I suppose it has helped.

I really like to volunteer, especially with the figure skating club that I'm a member or and the kids' school.

Sometimes causes problems though, as Mr. Bluestar grew up in a different environment than I.
